ABOUT

Cara Gonzales is a commercial dancer originally from Clarkston, Michigan. She will be graduating from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee with a BFA in Commercial Dance, where she has developed a versatile technical foundation and a performance style rooted in confidence, musicality, and emotion. Although Cara trains in a wide range of movement styles, she is especially drawn to jazz, hip hop, and contemporary—genres that allow her to merge power with fluidity and explore both athletic and expressive sides of her artistry.

Cara’s foundation as a performer was further shaped by her three years with the LA Dance Magic Company. During her time with the company, she trained, assisted, and danced alongside celebrated artists including Sienna Lyons, Will Thomas, and Jackie Sleight. These experiences deepened her understanding of commercial work, professional rehearsal processes, and the collaborative nature of the dance industry.

At The Boston Conservatory, Cara has performed in a variety of onstage productions, bringing her energy and presence to works such as L.I.V.E. choreographed by Marquis Floyd, Renaissance choreographed by Keenan Cooks, and Mariah Carey: One Short Day Ensemble choreographed by Anthony Burrell. Each piece challenged her to embody different textures, dynamics, and performance qualities, helping her grow into a more dimensional and adaptable artist.

Known for her passion, commitment, and authentic stage presence, Cara approaches dance as a space to express her femininity, confidence, and personal voice. She is driven by the joy of performing, the thrill of learning, and the constant evolution that comes with being both a dancer and an artist. As she moves forward, she aims to continue building a career that blends commercial work, live performance, and creative collaboration—always bringing bold intention and heart to every project she steps into.
